Next weekend there are three great toy train/railroad events that you can plan on attending. The first is the Branson Express 2008. It is located at the Store Castle, 3050 Green Mountain Drive, Branson, Missouri 65672. This event will run from May 15 through May 18. It will include a convention, a train show, a banquet and a Branson Scenic Railway tour. The cost of the convention is $45, the train show is $5, the banquet is $25 and the Rail tour is $25. If you are only interested in the train show then plan to arrive at the venue on Sunday.
The second toy train event that you can attend next weekend is the Cornell Railroad Historical Society Rail Auction 2008. This event is scheduled for May 15 and will be held at the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home, located at 2272 Dryden Road, Dryden, New York 13053. Arrive around 6 p.m. and be ready for the auction which starts at 7 p.m. Admission for this event is $2. If you have items to sell, like toy trains and accessories, then bring them with you. You can auction them off for free at this event, as long as you have paid for your admission. Not a bad deal.
The third event that you can attend next weekend is the Keystone NTRAK Open House. This event is scheduled for May 17 through the 18. It will be held at the Berholme Baptist Church located at 905 Cottman Avenue (Rt. 73), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It starts at 1 pm and will run until 5. Admission is free. Come and see the new location. It is big enough to handle long layouts with double mainlines. I can’t wait to see their Christmas train sets set up this winter.
