February is a great month if you like toy train events. Each week there are several events scheduled across the nation. This weekends events start with the Greater Houston Train Show, which is scheduled for February 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. To find this event you will need to go to the Stafford Center located at 10505 Cash Road in Stafford, Texas. Admission costs $5 for adults, $1 for kids 12 to 18 and free for kids under 12. If you are coming with your family, then you can buy a family ticket for $12. Here you will find toy train clinics, toy train model contests, toy train photo contest and several great operating layouts.
If you will be near Bristol, Utah, then make sure you stop by the Flea Market held at the Holly Hall. You can find Holly Hall on Main Street. This event will last between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and is free to the public. Here you will find vendors, toy trains and other toys on display and for sale.
In addition to the Flea Market and the Greater Houston Train Show, The Winter Open House for the Western Reserve Model Railroad Museum is also scheduled for February 16th. From 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. this open house, located at 7471 Unit L Tyler Blvd in Mentor, Ohio, will offer you the chance to view both NASCAR and NHRA displays. The theme for this event is “the need for speed.” In addition to great displays, a Chinese raffle will also be held.
February toy train events are great for collectors and toy train fans. At these events you will be able to find prime toy train parts and accessories and collectible wooden train pieces and parts.
