This week there are several great toy train events that you will want to catch. If you live, or will be near, New Eagle, Pennsylvania, then make plans to visit the New Eagle Train Show on the 24th. This event will run between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. To get to this event you will need to go to the New Eagle Volunteer Fire Department’s Social Hall, located on Chess Street in New Eagle, PA. The cost of this event is $3 for adults, $2 for kids and $2 for Senior Citizens. At this event you will find vendors, test tracks, great food, free parking and modular train layouts.
If you will be in the Midwest, then drive over to Minneapolis to visit the Gopher Rail 2008 event. Scheduled for February 23rd between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Railroad Club on the University of Minnesota campus. (1701 University Avenue, SE, Minneapolis, MN). The cost of this event will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. This is a unique event that draws the crows. It offers speakers, videos and modular railroad layouts.
The third event scheduled for this weekend is Night Trains. This is the last week that the Night Trains will be on display, so make sure you get to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum Saturday, February 23rd between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. To get to this event drive to 1021 Bandana Blvd, STE 222, St. Paul, Minnesota. Admission is $5 for general admission and kids under five get in free. Her you will find an amazing lighted display.
